Members of station 45-1 operated at a multi jusridictional natural gas drill. Numerous scenarios were conducted by the fire departments and EMS squads in attendance.

December 12th the members from station 45-1 responded into Red Bank for mutual aid at a structure fire on Rector place. Units responding included Tower 4590, Rescue 4585 and Chief 4568.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a deadly gas created by many home appliances that use natural gas, gasoline, or oil. Every Winter you'll hear a tragic story about CO poisoning. The best way to prevent these tragedies is to install CO Detectors in your home and get your appliances checked annually.  And if your CO Alarm does activate, DON'T IGNORE IT! We would rather respond to a bajillion false activations than find you unplugged your detector and took the batteries out of it.... 

On the eleventh day of Christmas my Firefighter gave to me, great information about CO safety and awareness!
